Happy New Year and welcome back:-)!
Good morning parents/carers, I hope you all had a good Christmas/New Year and managed to get a break. I will be on the gate this morning but in anticipation of questions about the lights NOT being on in school I will answer now:-)! We regularly test the emergency lighting for the school and this is taking place today until 10am. School IS open as normal and once the sun comes up fully it will feel much lighter in school. The emergency lights are on in the school and we test them for 3 hours (7am - 10am today) to check they stay on for the required length of time. Kind regards Mr Burgess

Thank you for your kind words
Good morning parents/carers, I was made aware this morning of a lovely online/Facebook article in the Warrington Guardian. Thank you so much to the parent/parents(?) who took the time to do this and also to the parents who posted the lovely comments in the comments section. As you know we do our themed days to create a bit of magic for the children - and to make you smile as well - and not to get publicity. However, it is lovely to have the effort and hard work recognised by you publicly. I hope you all have a great Christmas break and that you manage to get a little bit of a rest at some point. I look forward to seeing the children (and you) on our first day back on Thursday 4th January 2024:-)! Kind regards (and thank you again) Mr Burgess

    Polar Express Day Video
Good afternoon parents/carers, Miss O'Hara has finished the Polar Express Day video (huge thank you to her for doing this) and I have uploaded it to the front page of the school website. You can see the joy on the faces of the children and I am so pleased they had such a great day. A massive thanks to my staff team who transformed the school on Monday night but also for the prep that went in before this. You will notice in the video that there was a naughty and nice list in the corridor and every child had their name on the nice list and all staff were on the naughty list:-)! A huge thank you to the member of staff who did this job. I need to point out that they were working as an honorary elf and had been instructed by Santa to create both lists! For the class photographs on the video the edges of the photographs have been cut out by the video software so some children can't be seen. Therefore, Mrs Hipkiss is going to create a collage on the newsletter tomorrow of all the class photographs so every child can be seen:-)! Thank you for your support this term and over the last few weeks especially. The children have been amazing and we have tried to put in place lots of very special events for them to create loads of amazing memories:-)! Kind regards Mr Burgess
