Visit from the Fire Brigade
In December, Birchwood Fire Service visited our school to show the pupils in Year 5, a practical insight into the dangers of fire and smoke in the home. The pupils were invited to go into the smoke tent where the crew showed the pupils how smoke behaves, that it rises and they should stay down low when faced with a smoke-filled room.
