Vice Chair of Governors, Co-opted Governor– Clare Macintosh

Clare was a parent governor from May 2016 - May 2020 and became a co-opted governor in May 2020. Clare has a governor responsibility for Safeguarding and Children in Care.

  • WHAT EXPERIENCE DOES CLAIRE BRING TO GOVERNING OUR SCHOOL?

    Clare works outside of education as an Environmental Professional having over 20 years experience working in both the public and private sector. Clare is a full member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and a Chartered Environmentalist.

    Clare currently works for Salford Clinical Commissioning Group as their Sustainability Manager supporting in ensuring that social value (which includes social, environmental and economic considerations) are embedded into the commissioning of health and social care. Prior to joining the CCG, Clare ran her own business for 8 years with part of her time conducting third party audits against a number of management system standards including ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management System).  Clare is experienced in questioning and challenging whilst also balancing this with providing support and suggestions.

    Clare has two children who are now at high school but both children attended Woolston CP School. 

ABOUT ME

I have lived in the area for just over 18 years and have a close connection to the school as both my children attended and I was an active member of the PTFA for many years.   In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors walking and cycling.
