Application for Absence from School - Term Time Holidays
Pupils attend school for a maximum of 190 days each academic year. Regular attendance is vital to your child's educational progress. The Local Authority has informed school that "Contrary to popular belief, there is no entitlement to ten days off school for family holidays. Parents should not normally take pupils on holiday in term time and parents must apply for the leave in advance of taking it." Absences due to holidays taken during school time could hinder academic progress.
